As the in-house fashion/textile designer for an NYC based fashion company, Erik has designed both patterns and clothes for the women’s contemporary market for more than 7 years. For these prints, Erik uses Photoshop and Illustrator to create repeats — he often does highly textured watercolors that he hand paints, and the fabrics are digitally printed directly with the factory. This way, he is able to keep the delicate gradients and textures of his paintings. Below are some of Erik’s favorite prints that he has done through the years as an example of other techniques in his wheelhouse. We hope you enjoy!
